The Rock Excited For Black Adam Who Has ‘The Same Powers As Superman’

Shazam! was a pretty big hit for the DC Extended Universe when it premiered earlier this year. Not only did the film do well among fans and critics, but it also did a decent job at the box office, bringing in $363 thousand for DC.

Now, fans are excitedly waiting to see Shazam's (Zachary Levi) biggest nemesis Black Adam make his way into the DCEU and it looks like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is pretty excited too.

The Rock just recently received the Generation Award at the 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards, and at the red carpet of the event, the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star got to speak with MTV News. Johnson spoke about his upcoming Black Adam Solo movie in the interview with the entertainment news outlet, and according to the actor, he's more than excited to see Black Adam make his way to the big screen.

"Black Adam has the same powers as Superman." Johnson explained. "Think about that. That's why it's so cool and exciting."

Some fans might disagree, but Black Adam does have similar abilities like unlimited stamina that helps the villain withstand and survive most types of assault, super speed, super strength, power, and magical resistance. Sure, they might not be exactly the same as Superman, but the idea that the antihero would have the same power level as everyone's favorite boy scout superhero is interesting.

DC has yet to announce the Black Adam movie release date, but we're hoping that we get it soon.
