The Rising of the Shield Hero made waves when it premiered back in 2019 given the show’s premise of the protagonist being hated in his new world. After all, many isekai shows are just power fantasy adventures.

Despite its popularity, the second season took some time to release, and it only consisted of 13 episodes.

Sadly, that season wasn’t as well-received as the first one, though the main cast’s performance was still good.

Thankfully, the main VAs have come back for the third season, which many fans are still excited about.

As this new season introduces a bunch of new characters, four new cast members were also revealed, and they include:

  • Ami Koshimizu (Holo in Spice and Wolf) as Nadia
  • Kohei Amasaki (Neito Monoma in My Hero Academia) as Fohl
  • Konomi Kohara (Chika Fujiwara in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) as Atla
  • Maria Naganawa (Kanna Kamui in Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) as S'yne

While there has been a previous promo video for the third season, this latest video is the first proper trailer as it finally shows lots of new footage, complete with some action set pieces.

It may not be that long, but it’s definitely worth watching for fans of the series. You can check it out here:
