The Rise of Skywalker will hit theaters in a few weeks from now and it seems like there's a lot of surprises in store for Star Wars fans. And while the film will be the final installment of the Skywalker Saga, we might get to witness some new stuff in the upcoming movie, and some fans might not like it.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, director J.J. Abrams revealed that The Rise of Skywalker would introduce new Force powers. He pointed out that it was "important" to not just redo some of the things the fans have seen in the previous films, but to "add new elements" as well.

However, the director admitted that he knows these new elements "will infuriate some people." But then again, he thinks these stuff could be "thrilling" to the other viewers.

Abrams then went on to explain that the new elements featured aren't just going to be "new ways" of doing traditional and "must-have sequences" like lightsaber fights. He made it a point that the studio wanted to make sure the film will show "aspects of the Force in ways that go beyond what you've seen before."

This will certainly spark some interest to the fans who have been speculating that Rey will discover her Force powers in The Rise of Skywalker. That being said, Abrams didn't really mention who would get these new powers, so for Star Wars fans who like to theorize what's to come in the film, the world is your oyster.

What do you think these "new elements" will be? Who do you think will possess such? Tell us inthe comments below!
