Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor Richard E. Grant who played General Pryde in the ninth installment of the Skywalker saga has confirmed that he's Marvel Cinematic Universe-bound! The 63-year-old actor just revealed on Twitter that he's part of the Loki series cast headlined by Tom Hiddleston as the God of Mischief.

In a tweet he posted Friday afternoon, Grant expressed his excitement over the project and revealed that he and Hiddleston have been wanting to work together for the longest time. He wrote: "@twhiddleston and I have talked about working together for some years and finally get to do so in LOKI." Yup, it's indeed happening! Check out the tweet here:

Some of you may not be aware but this isn't the first time that the famed character actor is stepping into the Marvel realm. In fact, he previously appeared in the 2017 R-rated X-Men spinoff flick Logan as Zander Rice, the man responsible for bonding Adamantium to Wolverine's skeleton. We're still quite unsure what role he'll be taking on in the Disney+ series but it's safe to assume that an actor his caliber won't be given scraps. Who knows, he just might play a key character in the upcoming series.

Since it got announced last year, we haven't really heard much about Loki and but I'm willing to bet that it'll be a show which will get everyone talking once promo season begins. And why shouldn't you be curious about it? The last time we saw Loki, apart from his Avengers: Endgame cameo (which was set during the events of Thor: The Dark World) was in Avengers: Infinity War where he supposedly "died". There's a lot of mystery surrounding the series and we better be ready.

Loki is coming soon to Disney+!
