The Punisher's Ben Barnes Reacts to Series' Cancellation

Netflix has officially canceled The Punisher, which has led to many fans mourning over the fact that they won't be getting a third season with Frank Castle, at least for now. Many of us are expecting the series to eventually pop up again, whether it's through Disney+ or Hulu, it seems like the show could come back, along with the other Marvel shows that were canned.

After Jon Bernthal gave a heartfelt farewell to the series, Ben Barnes has decided to say goodbye as well. Barnes played Billy Russo, who many know as Jigsaw and he did a great job. While many were disappointed that his face wasn't messed up, the fact that he had mental scars was seen as a nice alternative to some.

Barnes thanked the fan for bingeing these hour-long episodes and even praised his followers, who gave him funny and supportive comments on social media. It's a pretty sweet gesture, which is something Billy Russo wouldn't do but we won't be seeing his character appear anytime soon.

It's a shame that Bernthal and Barnes won't be playing these characters anytime soon since they did such a good job. Hopefully, the future for these two actors is a bright one and they move on well.

The Punisher can still be streamed on Netflix.
