So when is the second (and possibly final?) season of The Punisher coming to Netflix? According to the streaming service, it's next month, which might come off as a shocker but they confirmed it via the "New to Netflix" vignette released. The video showed a number of shows and movies coming to Netflix in January and one of them was none other than Marvel's The Punisher.
It seems like we won't have to wait too long for an official trailer for the series, though we still don't know when exactly in January. Still, when you consider how well-liked the first season of The Punisher was, one can only imagine how excited people will be for the second. With the villainous Jigsaw looking more like his comic book counterpart, we can probably expect more blood and violence than usual.
Considering what happened to Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, it seems very likely that this will be the final season of the series, at least on Netflix. While previous reports stated that none of these serials will return on Disney+, Marvel and Disney could always change their minds. Here is hoping they do since these shows and characters added a much-needed sense of grit and seriousness to the MCU.
The Punisher will debut sometime in January, though no actual date was given. Jessica Jones is also expected to return in 2019, presumably for its last season. Fans can still stream Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist on Netflix.
