In episode 6 of The Promised Neverland Season 2, Norman reunited with his foster siblings, alive and seemingly well. Episode 7, which aired yesterday, suggests things aren't that simple. Many fans of the manga believe season 2 is bad since it's different from the mangaand, frankly, it's hard to tell where the story is going. In any case, here's all you need to know before episode 8:
The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
Episode 7 further strains Emma's relationship with Norman. When she confronts him with an alternative to his plan to exterminate all demons, offering the example of Mujika who can survive without eating human meat, Norman reveals he has heard of her referred to as 'the evil-blooded girl'.
It's revealed that Mujika was a legend among the demons because her blood was special, allowing her to refrain from eating humans while still functioning at the human-level intellectually. For this reason, she started feeding other demons with her blood, making them like her.
Emma rejoices at this story, believing this would end the conflict between humans and demons once and for all, but Norman isn't as optimistic. According to his readings, Mujika's friends were all slaughtered because the governing demons who were responsible for the distribution of human meat, benefitted from other demons' reliance on it and didn't want to give up on their profit.
Additionally, Norman has discovered that William Minerva is dead and that all ways to the human part of the world are blocked, apart from one: the one near the Grace Field House, from which they escaped. The humans on the other side are now much more reluctant to accept human refugees from the demon world, as they are also benefitting from the existent status quo.
Since being shipped off, Norman has become much more cynical and thinks he and the other children must kill all demons, including Shonju and Mujika. Emma suggests an alternative: to bring Sonju and Mujika to Norman, if only we forgo his plan to make all demons regress right away.
Norman accepts, and Emma sets off with Ray, Don, and Gilda. However, Norman's new companions who all suffer from frequent spasms due to being experimented upon, are reluctant to accept this truce and put pressure on him to go on with his plan. By the end of the episode, Norman suffers a seizure as well, implying he's not unharmed, as he had previously claimed.
Surely, she doesn't mean to bring the demons she considers friends to Norman so that he can kill them. Perhaps episode 8 will shed some light on her true motivations. Still, 11 episodes seem too few to reach any satisfying conclusion.

The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 8 will be broadcast next Friday, the 5th of March in Japan. Due to different timezones, it will be available on Thursday, the 4th of March in Europe and America/Canada for premium Funimation users and Hulu subscribers.
