Kim Soon Ok, The Penthouse: War in Life writer, created the new K-drama First Lady which would soon air.
In the past years, Kim Soon Ok successfully took the spotlight for creating dramas with provocative themes but became the highest-rated dramas so far.
Aside from The Penthouse: War in Life, she also created Temptation of Wife, Jang Bo-Ri is Here!, and My Daughter, Geum Sa Wol.
Over a year after The Penthouse: War in Life ended its stint with season 3, the writer wrote another drama that aims to cast Lee Sang Yoon as the lead star.

Lee Sang Yoon In Talks To Join Kim Soon Ok’s First Lady
On June 17, Lee Sang Yoon’s agency set the record straight about the offer the actor received with regard to the K-drama’s leading role.
According to J,WIDE-Company, the actor is yet to accept the role, but the potential result is promising.
“He’s currently in talks to appear [in the drama], and the outlook is favorable,” the agency said.

Aside from Lee Sang Yoon, Park Ki Woong also received an offer to play another role. According to Kang Entertainment, the actor is still reviewing the offer.
Once they accept the roles, they will be working with director Choi Young Hoon in the drama. Lee Sang Yoon previously worked with him in the hit series, One the Woman.
Meanwhile, Lee Ji Ah also started reviewing the drama, while Jang Hee Jin officially joined the list of cast members.
Lee Sang Yoon Has Been Successful in Industry
Before his potential appearance in First Lady, Lee Sang Yoon enjoyed the success of his drama with Honey Lee, One the Woman.
During his pictorial with Allure, he revealed that he did not expect the drama to be successful.
“No one can predict ratings, so I didn’t expect it to get high viewership ratings. I knew that it would be a fun drama. The script was really funny, so we just needed to live up to the script, but Honey Lee went above and beyond that requirement,” he said.
Lee Sang Yoon might have another successful series once he chooses to work with Kim Soon Ok in her new drama.
