The Original Green Ranger Did Not Like the R-Rated Power Rangers Fan Film

Earlier this week, producer Adi Shankar and director Joseph Kahn released an R-Rated Power Rangers fan film that got more than 5 million views. But it was recently taken down in Youtube and Vimeo after Saban reported the video for copyright infringement. The film was dark, gritty, badass, and unlike any Power Rangers show or film you've seen before. I'm not a huge fan of the franchise but I enjoyed the unique twist to it.

But Jason Oliver Frank, who played Tommy/ Green Ranger (and also White Ranger) on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV series, has uploaded a video on his Facebook page to share his opinions about the fan film. He claims that he was approached to play his iconic character for the fan film at one point, but he declined. He said that he'd rather be a part of an official "Saban-approved" Power Rangers film that's kid-friendly. I see his point, and I think I'd rather see him in an official film anyways. Watch the video below to hear his opinions about the film.
