The wait has been prolonged as the release of the sequel, The Marvels, has been pushed back to November this year. The project has been silent for quite some time but reportedly, it is getting some noise again this week as the first trailer may come out on April 11th!
The Marvels will be bringing together Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau in an action-packed sequel that would have three powerful women saving the multiverse.
The movie, however, was pushed back to November this year and while there are still no reasons as to why the release was delayed, rumors swirl around the post-production and VFX of the movie being the culprit to the delay.
Now, new reports suggest that The Marvels will be having a first look this week, on April 11th, as per Daniel Richtman on Patreon, which seems possible considering that it is only less than a month before the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in theaters.

Following the disappointment of many who waited for the release of the trailer of The Marvels during Super Bowl LVII but to no avail, the only thing that Marvel fans received is the official poster of the sequel with the three main stars in the middle and their emblems on the background.
To date, there is still no plot for The Marvels and what the movie will be about but while little is known, details surrounding the poster confirm that Monica Rambeau will, indeed, be adopting the moniker of Photon. How the three would meet is anyone's guess!
Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers/ Captain Marvel, and she will be joined by Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau/ Photon in The Marvels. Nia DaCosta sits on the director's chair for the sequel.
The Marvels is set for a theatrical release on November 10, 2023.
