The idea of all Marvel film franchises past and present being interconnected used to be a massive pipe dream for fans. Thankfully, Marvel Studios found a clever way to make everything as cohesive as it can be through the ongoing Multiverse Saga.

Now, fans await the arrival of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine — two characters who previously weren't part of the main Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity to the billion-dollar franchise.

But it looks like they aren't the first FoxVerse mutants to make their grand crossover to Earth-616. A hot new rumor has been swirling around the internet suggesting that another X-Men actor is on his way and it's someone you wouldn't have expected.

Earlier this week, insider Daniel Richtman generated a ton of buzz on X (formerly Twitter) after revealing that an actor whom he says was the perfect casting choice for a role but "never got his chance to do it justice' was returning for a project he chose not to disclose.

While his post didn't exactly have any mention of the MCU, the report coincided with rumors claiming that The Marvels added a last-minute surprise, presumably for its post-credits scene.

One user unearthed a post from Richtman from earlier this year and fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that the tipster was talking about actor Kelsey Grammer, who played Hank McCoy aka Beast in the original Fox X-Men films.

There's no doubt that Grammer was terribly underutilized as Beast in the original X-Men films but out of all the mutants that could appear in The Marvels, this seems to be the most random. I mean, Rogue would have been a much more sensible choice given her ties to Carol Danvers, right?

The Marvels is hitting cinemas on November 10, 2023.
