One of Marvel Studios' upcoming film offerings, the highly anticipated The Marvels has finally wrapped filming and as soon as the promising news hit the internet, so did several leaks from the set of the said project which will be headlined by the "marvelous" trio of Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer Iman Vellani who is also set to appear in her own Disney+ Ms. Marvel.
The spoilery leaks offer us our first official look at one of the film's locations and more importantly, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel's new appearance. Of course, MCU costume upgrades are oftentimes exciting news to a lot of people but after seeing photos of Khan's upgraded look, the enthusiasm quickly turned into indifference as the majority of fans are now on the fence about Ms. Marvel's new costume.
Some even said that if they had things their way, they'd revert back to the suit the character dons in the spinoff series which looks much more faithtful to how Kamala looked in the comics. Check out some of the reactions below:

Kamala Khan's arrival in the MCU has been anticipated by fans but it's also been plagued with several controversies. For starters, it seems like Marvel Studios has tweaked the character's abilities and changed her shape-shifting and embiggening powers to something similar to that of DC's Green Lantern. Now, the studio's decision to give her a brand new costume is causing quite the debate on social media and it'll be interesting to see how Marvel responds.
The Marvels is currently slated for release on February 17, 2023.
