Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot made headlines last week after generating major heat from fans last week for airing her sentiments amid the growing tensions in Israel and Gaza. The Israeli star was "canceled" by fans all over social media over her controversial comments in relation to the Israeli and Palestinian violence that has left the entire world in shock and utter disbelief. The said statement, posted on Gadot's social media platforms received massive backlash from a lot of people who pointed out Gadot's history of serving in the Israel Defense Forces.
Now, a few days following the controversy, Gal's Wonder Woman 1984 co-star and good friend Pedro Pascal is also drawing flak for expressing his support for the actress following her divisive statement. Apparently, The Mandalorian actor liked Gal's post on Instagram and it didn't exactly sit well with fans who have seemingly made it their mission to rain on the DC star's parade.
When Pascal promoted the HBO Max return of Wonder Woman 1984, fans stormed the Chilean star's Twitter post and bombarded it with negative comments expressing their disappointment with the Star Wars actor. Check out some of the reactions here:
Things have obviously gotten out of hand and it once again proves that cancel culture is such a disease that we need to get rid of. I mean, so what if Pedro liked Gal's post? If anything, she was only trying to unite people and her statement was taken completely out of context. The entire situation in Israel and Gaza is already absolutely horrifying and we don't need to deal with unnecessary hate especially during a time like this.
Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal is set to return for The Mandalorian Season 3.
