There's no denying that Pedro Pascal's acting career has skyrocketed to the stratosphere thanks to his breakthrough performance as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian.
Soon after, the Chilean actor would land several lucrative projects, including HBO's live-action adaptation of The Last of Us, making him one of Hollywood's most sought-after stars.
Now, some fans are toying with the idea of Pascal getting cast in the rebooted DC Universe as none other than the caped crusader himself, and you wouldn't have guessed how the wild casting idea started.
Pedro Pascal Suddenly Becomes a Favorite to Play Batman in the DCU Thanks to Jensen Ackles
During a panel appearance at the Jus In Bello Convention in Italy (via Deadline), Jensen Ackles expressed his desire to play Batman in live-action, a character he already voiced in the animated adaptation of Batman: The Long Halloween.
However, the star of Amazon Prime's hit superhero show The Boys is already casting doubt on his chances, jokingly saying that Pedro Pascal could end up landing the part. He said: "Will I be mad when Pedro Pascal gets it? Yeah. God bless you, Pedro. You just keep killing it, buddy. Let me know when you pass on something."
The Supernatural star's amusing remark would then spawn an idea from DC fans who are now toying with the idea of Pascal getting cast as the new DC Universe's Dark Knight.

As it stands, DC Studios has yet to announce which actor will play Batman in the rebooted DCU and if we're being realistic, we're still a long way from finding out more about Batman: The Brave and the Bold's official cast.
It's also worth noting that Pascal is already approaching his 50s and that already makes him too old for the part. That's not to say though that he can't play other characters from the DC Universe.
Meanwhile, DC's The Flash is still showing in cinemas everywhere.
