The Mandalorian’s Bill Burr Takes Back Controversial Opinion on Star Wars Fans

The Mandalorian star Bill Burr hasn't always seen eye-to-eye with fans of the Star Wars franchise who he described at one point as adults who read "a cheesy self-help book put in outer space with Muppets." Well, that was long before he got cast in the MandoVerse, and over the last couple of years, the beloved stand-up comedian has grown to appreciate the fandom even more and now understands where their passion truly comes from.

It's safe to say that much like his character Migs Mayfeld, Bill had a change of heart when it comes to the fandom. Speaking with ScreenRant, Burr, who admittedly isn't used to kind fans said that he loves how appreciative the Star Wars fans are, especially of his The Mandalorian performance.

He said: "I will tell you this, Star Wars fans, they’re cool, man. They actually have like a chill respectful way they approach you, which was really nice. I come from the sports fan world, they’d say, ‘Hey Billy bitchtits, go fuck yourself’ and I’m just like, ‘Hey, how’s it going?’ So I was used to that, but then they were coming up like, 'Hey, Mr. Burr. I really liked your performance' and It’s like, 'Oh wow, these are like fully-formed adults.' I actually had to learn how to converse with them."

It's nice to know that Burr has changed his mind about fans of the franchise and while there are still toxic fans looming in the galaxy, it can't be denied that the majority of Star Wars aficionados are still some of the best fans in the world. Now, as for the possibility of Migs Mayfeld returning to the MandoVerse in the future, I wouldn't mind seeing him make his grand comeback in Season 3.

Speaking of, The Mandalorian Season 3 is currently in production.
