It's no secret that Star Wars fans are pretty much obsessed with Baby Yoda ever since the character was revealed in the first episode of The Mandalorian. Keeping the baby as a surprise, producer Jon Favreau asked Disney to hold off Baby Yoda merchandise in order to prevent spoiling the surprise character. However, it looks like fans will get to have a Funko Pop! of the adorable baby really soon.
Taking to Twitter, Funko recently posted a GIF of Baby Yoda sipping some soup. The clip was from The Mandalorian's latest episode, which is now a popular meme on social media. This post got some fans hyped up and in the hopes for a Baby Yoda Pop! Although, Funko didn't add any details aside from the GIF.
That being said, a Redditor recently shared a photo of two Baby Yoda figures that are allegedly on Target's system. The first figure is 10 inches tall and retails for $29.99 while the smaller one is worth $8.99. Another set of photos was posted again, this time, on Instagram. User anerdydad showed clearer images of the said figures.
Baby Yoda having a Funko Pop! so soon isn't really surprising, given the character's popularity with fans who have both watched the show and for those who are yet to see the series. For sure, these collectibles will be sold in record time especially since fans are waiting on a toy or figure of the character ever since it was revealed in The Mandalorian.
To point out though, Funko hasn't made an official announcement regarding the release of these yet. However, it won't be unlikely for a Baby Yoda Pop! to be released really soon.
