Giancarlo Esposito has taken on key roles in various major projects as of late. Known for his character Gustavo Fring on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, he's set to return as Stan Edgar on The Boys Season 2 and will portray Anton Castillo in the upcoming video game Far Cry 6. Aside from his role in The Jungle Book and voicing Lex Luthor in the animated Harley Quinn series, he also plays the part of Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian. With Star Wars under his belt, Esposito believes he'll make his way to another major Disney franchise.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Esposito talked about his future career goals and addressed rumors about being considered for an MCU role, showing his enthusiasm. "There's been all these rumors about being with Marvel," he said. "I want to work with those guys, I've put it out into the world."

The actor adds that what the studio does is "fantastic" and that he would want to do "something enduring with them." "I think the Marvel world would be, likely, the next step for me," Esposito continued. "And then I would step back into playing some characters who I think really did change the world with their actions."

With several people that he's worked with already a part of the Disney family, including series creator Jon Favreau and director/actor Taika Waititi, there's a possibility that Esposito will eventually make his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Given his history with the House of Mouse, his enthusiasm for a Marvel role, and being an actor of such caliber, it'll be interesting to see which character he would take on should he appear in the MCU.

Esposito's Moff Gideon continues his hunt for Baby Yoda in the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, set to arrive on Disney+ this October.
