The Mandalorian Season 3 saw the reemergence of the Mythosaur, a creature that has been an integral part of the Mandalore mythos. In Chapter 18, fans found out that the monster which was previously believed to have been extinct was laying dormant in the Living Waters.

Bo-Katan Kryze was the first to spot it after thousands of years and if the legend is to be believed, a Mythosaur sighting signals a brand new era for Mandalorians. True to form, Season 3 ended with the re-establishment of Mandalore.

Intriguingly, Bo-Katan kept her Mythosaur encounter a secret from Din Djarin but told The Armorer about it, resulting in fans developing suspicion towards the character. Now, new details about the Mythosaur's return are coming to light.

Speaking on the Steve Varley Show, Katee Sackhoff broke down her character's hair-raising encounter with the mythical beast and explained why she kept it a secret from Mando.

Sackhoff shared: "Well, this is a person who did not take the legends literally. She took them metaphorically, you know? She came out of that water seeing the symbol of her people that she didn’t ever dream existed. I think she thinks she’s crazy. I think she thinks that she lost oxygen long enough for– I don’t know! I think she’s probably thinking, ‘What the hell did… What did I see?’"

She added: "It was also under a stressful situation. She could have imagined that. And I don’t think, in this moment, she trusts Mando enough to emotionally let her guard down."

It's worth mentioning that even after the Mandalorians were successful in reclaiming their home planet, Bo-Katan still didn't tell Din about her Mythosaur encounter.

We'd like to assume though that it will actually get addressed in the next season unless Lucasfilm plans on ignoring it completely and just move forward with the next MandoVerse storyline.

All three seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
