It can't be denied that Pedro Pascal's involvement in the Star Wars franchise helped elevate his career and turn him into a bonafide A-list celebrity. But you know what they say, fame comes with a price and for the star of The Mandalorian, his success and popularity mean that the public eye will now be watching his every move especially on social media where he's always been active.

Speaking of, Pascal is once again finding himself on the receiving end of cancel culture after one post sparked massive backlash online. On Twitter, the Chilean actor remembered Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber aka the Rittenhouse attackers over a year following the newsmaking incident.

For the uninitiated, the aforementioned two men were fatally shot in August of last year after attacking teenager Kyle Rittenhouse in an act of self-defense. In his tweet, Pascal claimed that the pair were “murdered” and it sparked a massive outcry on the social media platform after users pointed out that one of the killers, Rosenbaum was actually a convicted child rapist, served jail time for his sexual offenses.

Twitter users stormed the actor's tweet and according to them, Pascal's tweet glorifies a child molester and it's unbecoming of an actor who works for a family-friendly company like Disney. Check out some of the reactions below:

To be fair, Pascal probably didn't know about Rosenbaum's background but still, ignorance doesn't excuse anyone. The least he could've done was delete the tweet or explain himself and acknowledge that he didn't do his research before posting but I guess that would only prove the point of his critics.

Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal is set to return for the third season of The Mandalorian.
