Sasha Banks made a name for herself in the world of professional wrestling but the last couple of years have proven to be pivotal to the WWE superstar, especially after she was given the opportunity to star in The Mandalorian's second season. As it stands, we still don't know if her character Koska Reeves will actually appear in Season 3 but despite her initial denial, a recently surfaced set video from the show seems to suggest that Koska will actually return.

Banks has been gone from WWE for a number of months now although speculation is high on her impending return to the ring. However, it looks like the multi-time WWE Women's champion is dropping her in-ring moniker to use her real name moving forward. On Twitter, the 30-year-old star changed her username from @SashaBanksWWE to Mercedes Varnado, the same name she used when she starred in The Mandalorian.

To those unaware, Banks and her tag team championship partner Triniti Fatu aka Naomi walked out on the company last May due to issues with their creative booking. Since their shocking departure, the duo has been spotted attending red carpet events, most recently the world premiere for Star Wars: Andor. Their WWE future remains unclear but several reports claim that the company's newly promoted Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque has been in deep talks with the two about a return.

Varnado actually comes from a family of celebrities so it's almost second nature for her to be in the entertainment industry. And seeing as how she's been visible in events for both Marvel and Star Wars, it wouldn't be too farfetched to assume that a full-time gig in Hollywood could be in her future.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian's third season is expected to hit Disney+ in February 2023.
