The last two seasons of The Mandalorian have featured only one main antagonist in Moff Gideon but despite the fact that he's one of the most compelling baddies in the galaxy, I think we can all agree that he's yet to get his true defining moment as a character.

Well, it looks like Season 3 might give fans of the character something to be excited about and according to actor Giancarlo Esposito, avid followers of the hit Star Wars spinoff show will be getting a "good amount" of the sinister leader.

Speaking with TV Line, Esposito admitted that he'd love to see his character get more screen time in future installments of the show. According to him, Season 3 will be just that. He reveals: "You’re going to get some Moff Gideon. I mean, I always want more Moff Gideon — I’ve got to be honest with you! But, you know, you’re going to get a good amount of Moff Gideon."

Previously, Giancarlo teased a shocking twist for Moff Gideon's plot, saying that he might end up being the one to save the galaxy from its biggest threats. With the MandoVerse set to mark the live-action debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn, there's definitely a good chance that Gideon will find himself siding with our heroes because frankly, aligning himself with the blue-skinned baddie will only turn him into an afterthought and I'm pretty sure Moff wouldn't want to play second fiddle to Thrawn.

I gotta say though, a potential team-up between two of the galaxy's most powerful forces sounds too good not to pull the trigger on.

The Mandalorian's third season will premiere on March 1, 2023, exclusively on Disney+.
