A lot of Star Wars fans have been looking forward to the fourth season of The Mandalorian which has experienced pre-production delays due to the Hollywood strikes that finally concluded recently.
There have also been rumors that Lucasfilm is planning to turn the upcoming season into a feature film instead although it has been debunked by new reports and clarified that it will continue as a regular TV season.
Now, as fans are patiently waiting for Din Djarin and Grogu's next adventure, we finally have a new exciting production update on the new season as it looks like they finally set a date for their filming.

The Mandalorian Season 4 Reportedly Begins Filming This February 2024
According to a new report from Bespin Bulletin, the fourth season of The Mandalorian is planning to start filming this February 2024, which will be almost a year since the third season premiered.
Production will likely last for around six months which means that it could wrap by late summer and potentially release on Disney+ by spring of 2025 at the earliest.
Lucasfilm has not officially commented on the report yet.
This is an exciting update since it means that the team behind the series is currently working hard in its pre-production and it debunks the claims again that the studio is planning to turn it into a movie instead.
It would have been very surprising if they didn't move forward with the new season since it is arguably Disney+'s signature original show and it is the project that started Star Wars' reign on live-action television that is a consistent hit throughout the years.
If the new season does move forward in its production this February, we might be hearing more news and updates about it in the coming months and Lucasfilm could also confirm it themselves to shoot down the speculations on its alleged change into a movie.
For now, we can safely say that the new season is on its way. While fans are waiting, they can still catch the other Star Wars shows that are slated to release next year such as The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew.
