The Mandalorian Season 3 ushered in a career renaissance for Ahmed Best, who was best known by Star Wars fans for his involvement in the prequel trilogy as the polarizing Gungan Jar Jar Binks.

Chapter 20 marked the official MandovVerse debut of a Jedi named Kelleran Beq who was apparently the person responsible for rescuing Grogu during the Sith invasion. The character already made his debut in Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge but most fans got introduced to the character through The Mandalorian.

After the flashback-centric episode, Beq never made an appearance in the show and it left many quite disappointed. Well, it looks like we haven't seen the last of the mysterious Jedi.

Speaking on Entertainment Weekly's Dagobah Dispatch podcast, executive producer Dave Filoni offered a promising update about the character's future in the franchise. When asked if Ahmed Best could once again show up in another live-action project, he simply said: "It's always a possibility".

Filoni added that the decision to reveal Beq as Grogu's Order 66 savior was already part of the show's earliest plans. They also consulted the Jar Jar Binks actor who was unsurprisingly game to take on the part.

He added: "We come up with these ideas and we think: Who might work with it? We make sure before we get too far to bring them into the process, so it's not just like, 'Here's who you're going to play.' It's like, 'What do you think of this? We want you to be this person. What are your thoughts on it?' [We try to] make it a real collaboration and think it's really key to the success of it."

Hopefully, we'll actually get a spinoff series centered on Kelleran and Grogu's relationship because let's be honest, Chapter 20 left a lot of things unaddressed. I'd even be down with a whole special explaining what happened to them after Order 66.

Meanwhile, all three seasons of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
