The Mandalorian Season 3 Will Reportedly Have a Large Role for Boba Fett

The internet exploded when it was reported that Boba Fett would be appearing in The Mandalorian. It seems like the popular Star Wars character will make some sort of appearance in The Mandalorian Season 2, reports are coming in that he is expected to play a vital role on The Mandalorian Season 3 onwards. If true, this should be very exciting news since we haven't seen a credible version of this character on-screen before.

Seriously, most people who like this character probably adore his costume design more than anything else. There's also the extended universe stuff that some people care about but they're mostly nerds.

Anyway, The Direct is claiming that Boba Fett will make his first post-Return of the Jedi appearance on The Mandalorian Season 3. We don't exactly know what he will be doing but there's a good chance that he's going to go helmet-to-helmet with our lead character. While he is technically a mercenary out for money, our lead character tends to side with the good guys more than the baddies so seeing these two duke it out should be fun.

Considering how rabid the fanbase of Boba Fett can be, it's genuinely surprising to see Disney bend to their wishes and bring him in somehow. While there are a number of extended universe stories that detail a post-Return of the Jedi Boba Fett, those were considered non-canon a long time ago. Then again, considering The Rise of Skywalker, they probably just want to make fans happy anyway they can.

The Mandalorian is on Disney+ and the complete first season can now be streamed.
