Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of The Mandalorian's third season which was originally slated to premiere in Spring 2022 but the Pedro Pascal-led series experienced a frustrating setback when it was reported by multiple sources that production for the upcoming season was pushed back indefinitely. Some reports claim that filming for the standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi show was responsible for the project's filming being put on hold while others say that Pascal's packed schedule is to blame.
Naturally, it left a lot of fans disappointed and also worried about potentially having to wait much longer to see Din Djarin and Baby Yoda back in a galaxy far, far, away. However, there seems to be a promising new development regarding Season 3's production and as it turns out, Lucasfilm has finally started working on the project after a grueling three-month delay.
According to a report from American Cinematographer, production for The Mandalorian's third season has officially begun. The said article, which focuses on Lucasfilm's state-of-the-art technology called The Volume doesn't really say much about the alleged start of filming for Season 3 but one can hope for it to be true.
