The premiere of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is getting closer and fans already got a glimpse of what's to come in recently released photos. Showrunner Jon Favreau is teasing that the second season will be even bigger than its predecessor, featuring stories that'll focus on other characters aside from Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Favreau compared The Mandalorian's second season to Game of Thrones in terms of focusing on characters after Ned Stark's demise. Aside from the stories becoming "less isolated," each episode will have its "own flavor."

"As we introduce other characters, there are opportunities to follow different storylines," Favreau added. "The world was really captivated by Game of Thrones and how that evolved as the characters followed different storylines — that's very appealing to me as an audience member."

As other storytelling angles emerge, there will still be a "personal story" between the Child and Mando that'll develop "in a way" that Favreau thinks people will "enjoy."

It remains to be seen which characters we'll be following along the show aside from Mando. Multiple familiar faces are already rumored to appear in the show, including Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Captain Rex. One thing's for sure though, things are about to get a whole lot bigger and exciting with multiple perspectives merging in Season 2.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on October 30.
