The Mandalorian Season 2 Takes Home 3 Emmy Awards

The Mandalorian has collected its first three Emmys for its phenomenal second season. However, this might just be the first of several awards for the Star Wars series.

The show, which stars Pedro Pascal as the titular character, has won three Emmys during the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The Mandalorian Season 2 brought home the awards for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (Half-Hour), and Outstanding Sound Mixing For a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour).

Interestingly, these might just be the first of several Emmys for The Mandalorian since the ceremony is being split into two days. The major awards are set to be announced at the ceremony next week and fans are expecting more wins for the Star Wars show.

Although The Mandalorian Season 2 only has three Emmys right now, the series actually nabbed 24 nominations back in July. The show's full list of nominations is listed below.

The Mandalorian Season 2 followed Pascal's Din Djarin as he tried to restore Baby Yoda to the child's people. The second season is noted for the live-action debut of Star Wars characters Bo-Katan Kryze (played by Katee Sackhoff) and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). The latter is set to star in a spin-off series that could air on Disney+ in late 2021.

Will The Mandalorian Season 2 take home more Emmys? The 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards will air on September 19, 2021.
