There is little doubt that fans are still hoping that we haven't seen the last of Fennec Shand although the character appeared to have been killed off in the first season of The Mandalorian. But is it possible that the premiere episode of Season 2 has confirmed that Fennec will be back this year?
In Chapter 5: The Gunslinger, Mando met an aspiring bounty hunter Toro Calican who wanted to capture Fennec in order to join the Guild. Mando agrees and they are able to find Ming-Na Wen's character right away. As Fennec tries to persuade Toro to turn Mando in instead by telling him about the bounty on Baby Yoda, Toro shoots her and takes The Child hostage.
Although it was suggested that Fennec is dead, there was hope as a mysterious figure approached her body. Now, The Mandalorian Season 2 may have revealed who found Fennec.
There have been speculations that it was Boba Fett who found Fennec because of the familiar rattling sound. However, the first episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 revealed that the armor that makes that sound is now in the possession of Cobb Vanth. Considering that Vanth is a marshal, he may have brought Fennec back to Mos Pelgo to try and save her life. Hopefully, the truth will be revealed in the next few episodes.
