The Mandalorian Season 2 Possibly Confirms More Jango Fett Clones

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 certainly raised the stakes for the series as Mando makes it clear that he will stop at nothing to rescue Baby Yoda. However, Chapter 15: The Believer may have also confirmed something that fans have been wondering about since the fourth episode. So is it possible that Jango Fett clones are still being made by the Galactic Empire?

In The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 7, Mando enlisted Mayfeld to help them track down Moff Gideon's Imperial star cruiser. To do so, someone had to accompany Mayfeld into a hidden Imperial rhydonium refinery on Morak. However, Boba Fett insisted that he would not be the best candidate to go with Mayfeld. After all, he claims that someone might recognize his face.

Of course, it's possible that Boba might be referring to Imperial officers who had been present when he and other bounty hunters were employed by Darth Vader to track down the crew of the Millennium Falcon. However, there is also a possibility that it has a lot to do with clones.

We already know that Boba is a clone of Jango Fett and that there were so many Clone Troopers decades before the events in The Mandalorian. However, most of these clones have already died due to rapid aging. So why is Boba concerned about being recognized? One speculation points out that this could mean that the Empire continued creating clones of Jango even after the Clone Wars.

Do you agree with the theory that there are more Jango Fett clones being made? Sound off in the comments below.
