Hayden Christensen Opens up About Darth Vader Return in Obi-Wan Kenobi Series

One of the biggest announcements at Disney Investor Day was undoubtedly the confirmation that Hayden Christensen will be returning to play Darth Vader in Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi. After all, fans have been waiting for a chance to see the Sith Lord in action again. Not surprisingly, Christensen is just as thrilled with his comeback into the Star Wars Universe.

Christensen recently spoke to StarWars.com where he admitted that being able to portray an important character was an amazing experience.

"It was such an incredible journey playing Anakin Skywalker," Christensen said. He then added that Anakin's return might not be a welcome one for Obi-Wan.

"Of course, Anakin and Obi-Wan weren't on the greatest of terms when we last saw them," Christensen said before pointing out that it would be up to Deborah Chow. "It will be interesting to see what an amazing director like Deborah Chow has in store for us all."

Not surprisingly, Christensen confessed that he is already looking forward to being reunited with Star Wars prequel trilogy co-star Ewan McGregor.

"I'm excited to work with Ewan again. It feels good to be back," he said.

McGregor certainly feels the same way. It was previously reported that the Birds of Prey actor is hyped up for the possibility of him and Christensen having "another swing at each other" in the series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
