There's no denying that The Mandalorian Season 3 is the hit Star Wars show's most polarizing season yet and it's mainly due to the fact that the show shifted its focus to Bo-Katan Kryze's arc, seemingly leaving Din Djarin on the sidelines.
We're pretty sure that most of you are well aware by now that lead star Pedro Pascal, for the most part, was only able to do voice work for the third season as his prior commitments got in the way during The Mandalorian's production.
Now, the actor is finally breaking his silence on his now-iconic bounty hunter being sidelined in favor of Katee Sackhoff's character ascending to the Mandalore throne.
Pedro Pascal Finally Breaks Silence on Bo-Katan Kryze's Upgrade Role in The Mandalorian Season 3
Speaking with Variety, Pascal addressed the fans' discourse about Din Djarin getting "sidelined" in his own series. According to the Chilean star, he's glad that Bo-Katan is getting the spotlight she rightfully deserves.
He said: "I think it was great in it that it also comes into a full realization of a beloved character that is from the world of Dave Filoni, Bo-Katan."
Pascal continued: "Din djarin is a creation that starts with combining the worlds of Star Wars Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni and introducing this character through the live-action show Mandalorian and then creating the opportunity of pulling references and live-action characters from Dave Filoni’s beloved animated series."

Pascal's minimal involvement in Season 3 was a huge blessing in disguise for Sackhoff as it allowed her character to step up to the plate. With Season 4 already approaching production later this year, we're hoping that Pascal will be fully committed to filming because let's be honest, he's still the headliner of the show.
