While The Mandalorian fans are pleased that a movie is pushing forward at Lucasfilm, it may be the last time we'll see Din Djarin and Grogu. According to a new report, The Mandalorian might have no season 4.
The Mandalorian Reportedly Ending with Upcoming Film
Despite supposed plans for a fourth season, a new report claims that The Mandalorian & Grogu movie might be their last rodeo together.
According to reputable insider Daniel Richtman (aka DanielRPK), The Mandalorian movie is considered good news to see Din and Grogu on-screen again, but bad news for fans who had hoped for a fourth season.
"I have also confirmed the Mandalorian movie will be the final chapter of the show, no season 4," Richtman detailed, adding that this doesn't mean no more Din Djarin in the franchise, "He will be in other projects after that but The Mandalorian will be over."
This may be disheartening news, however, nothing is confirmed until Marvel or Disney themselves make the official announcement online. Otherwise, take this with a grain of salt for now.
For the uninitiated, The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau had already confirmed writing season 4 as early as February 2023, "Season 4? Yeah, I've written it already. I was writing it during post-production because all of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story."
Then again, with fans' divisive reactions over what became of The Mandalorian season 3, a last movie featuring the two beloved characters could suffice as a final farewell for what Pedro Pascal and the cast offered to the galaxy far, far away.
It remains to be seen if a fourth season is truly a no-go for the Mando, but we'll be sure to keep you posted on this story.

For now, Star Wars fans can expect The Mandalorian & Grogu movie to premiere on May 22, 2026.
