It may have taken a long time (or at least four episodes) before Boba Fett finally got his armor back in The Mandalorian Season 2. But was the one person who had it before him actually worthy of the armor? The latest episode of the Star Wars series may have confirmed that Cobb Vanth didn't deserve to wear the armor despite his noble intentions.
In the premiere episode of The Mandalorian Season 2, Vanth was introduced as the "Mandalorian" that has been acting as the Marshall of a city in Tatooine. However, it was revealed that he has actually bought the armor from some Jawas and had been using it to maintain the peace around his city. Nevertheless, Mando insisted on taking the armor because Vanth isn't actually Mandalorian.
The great thing about that was Vanth agreed to surrender the armor without resisting. This proves he was a good man with noble intentions but some still believe he wasn't worthy of Boba's armor.
So why is Vanth not worthy? It's not because he isn't a Mandalorian. As one outlet has pointed out, Vanth only wore the armor as it is and didn't actually take care of it. On the other hand, Boba immediately cleaned and repainted the armor as soon as he had the time, as seen in Chapter 15: The Believer. With that in mind, it is best that the armor has been returned to its original owner.
