It was recently reported that Taika Waititi will return in Season 3 as IG-11 so it makes a lot of sense for Babu Frik to become included in the show. After all, Frik was responsible for fixing a malfunctioning C-3PO in The Rise of Skywalker. The real question is, apart from his usual work as droidsmith, what vital role will Babu Frik play come Season 3?

I guess we'll just have to wait and see but for now, it's already safe to assume that Babu Frik and Grogu will be the best of pals.

The Mandalorian's third season is expected to premiere in February 2023 on Disney+.
