The Mandalorian: Dave Filoni Seemingly Teases Another Force Wielder in Season 3

I think we can all agree that The Mandalorian is easily the best Star Wars content we've had in recent memory and a lot of it has to do with the duo of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni knowing their ways not only to the Force but into the hearts of diehard fans as well. Now, the dynamic duo is set to begin filming the hit Disney+ show's third season and things are only going to become more fun and explosive.

The Lucasfilm series was reportedly eyeing to begin filming last month but other details about the production have been sporadic, to say the least. But it's worth noting that Filoni and Favreau are also working on The Book of Boba Fett so it's safe to assume that it's responsible for the delay. Now, the Star Wars: The Clone Wars creator is offering fans some much-needed update regarding Season 3 and while he chose to keep mum about what fans can expect from it, he's teasing that the Force will once again run strong in the series.

In an interview with Good Morning America coinciding with the May the Fourth celebration, Filoni explained that he can't disclose anything without his partner Favreau. "That's a tricky one. I don't like to go into those answers too much without my partner, Jon Favreau. It's exciting; we're both working on [The Mandalorian Season 3], we're working on [The Book of] Boba Fett right now."

However, he assured fans that Season 3 will see Mando embark on new adventures. "There's a lot of new adventures coming up. I can't really say anything specific, but I think the Force will be strong with this, let's just say that." Check out the interview here:

Reading between the lines, it seems like Filoni is teasing an involvement from another Force-wielding character in the show. Of course, the chances of it being either Grogu or Luke Skywalker are extremely high but the general belief within the fandom right now is that Season 3 will feature less Baby Yoda or not at all. Ahsoka returning to the series is also a possibility but it's worth noting that Rosario Dawson will be working on her standalone show.

All episodes of The Mandalorian are available for streaming on Disney+.
