Warning: If you haven't seen Chapter 22 of The Mandalorian, this article contains MAJOR SPOILERS so read at your own risk!

The Mandalorian Season 3's highly anticipated episode is here and there's a reason why the people behind the hit Star Wars series have been hyping up Chapter 22 as a can't-miss episode, especially actress Katee Sackhoff. You see, during last week's banger of a chapter, it was revealed that Bo-Katan Kryze is the rightful successor to the Mandalore throne and according to The Armorer, her gift of being able to walk both worlds makes her the logical choice.

However, there's one issue fans have been pointing out since Chapter 21 — it's the fact that Bo-Katan doesn't hold possession of the Darksaber, an integral part of the Mandalorian lore. In Season 2's epic finale, Moff Gideon revealed that Din Djarin couldn't just hand over the weapon to Bo-Katan as she needs to win it in battle.

This obviously makes Din the prime candidate to lead Mandalore and while it may have looked like he was set to fulfill the prophecy, Chapter 22's jaw-dropping twist just changed the game. During the closing moments of the episode titled "Guns for Hire", Din and Bo-Katan head to Plazir-15 in hopes of convincing Bo's former comrades to join their cause.

When Axe Woves, who now assumes leadership of the Nite Owls pointed out that Bo-Katan is unfit to lead the tribe because she has never beaten Din for the Darksaber, Mando revealed that the moment Bo-Katan saved her from the mechanical creature who attacked him in the Mines of Mandalore in Chapter 18, it made her worthy of wielding the Darksaber simply because she slayed the creature that "defeated" Din.

The stunning twist results in Mando giving the blade to Bo-Katan who accepts the weapon she once wielded.

Now, there's no more doubt about which character this season is centered on and while the idea of Din taking a backseat might not sit well with everyone, it's definitely Bo-Katan's time.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+.
