Chapter 20, titled "The Pirate" just revealed the identity of Mandalore's new ruler and it's none other than Bo-Katan Kryze. In last week's episode, she told the Armorer about her hair-raising encounter with the Mythosaur on the Living Waters, and although it seemed like the armor-forging Mandalorian didn't believe her claims, she confronted Bo-Katan about it.

After a grueling battle with Pirate King Gorian Shard's minions who have taken Nevarro under siege, the Armorer spoke to Bo-Katan to discuss what her encounter with the Mythosaur truly meant for all of Mandalore. She later asks Bo-Katan to remove her helmet and while it rendered the creed pointless, the Armorer tells her that she walks both worlds.

Legend has it that the emergence of the Mythosaur signals a new age for the Mandalore tribe and given how Bo-Katan was the first person to see it after thousands of years, it makes her the prime candidate to bring Mandalore back to its former glory.

Although earlier signs have pointed to Din Djarin potentially becoming Mandalore's new ruler, especially after gaining possession of the Darksaber, The Mandalorian has seemingly shifted its focus on Bo-Katan's journey and the idea of her fulfilling the prophecy doesn't sound all that farfetched to buy into.

Still, it's quite intriguing how she refuses to tell Din about the Mythosaur's existence despite making it clear that she has no intentions of leading the tribe. We'd like to assume that her motives have been drastically altered following her close encounter with the mythical monster and she probably sees Mando as her biggest rival to the throne.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+.
