After a full year of speculation, we now know what character Christopher Lloyd plays in the MandoVerse. The Back to the Future star is among the featured guest stars on The Mandalorian this week, along with pop star Lizzo and comedy icon Jack Black. In the latest chapter, titled "Guns for Hire", we get introduced to their characters who live on the planet Plazir-15 which is pretty much uncharted territory in the galaxy.

Lloyd plays a character named Commissioner Helgait, a security officer on the planet who is apparently hiding a secret unbeknownst to its citizens. When Din Djarin, Grogu, and Bo-Katan Kryze enter Plazir in search of Bo's former Mandalorian allies, they were tasked by the Duchess (Lizzo) and Captain Bombardier to solve the mystery behind the malfunctioning droids.

Apparently, some of the droids became faulty after taking Nepenthé, a lubricant used to protect them against mechanical wear. However, the said substance seems to be contaminated and upon further inspection, Bo and Din learn that nanobots are actually in the lubricant.

It was then revealed that the unassuming Helgait was the mastermind behind the whole droid issue and he was out to undermine the Duchess and Captain Bombardier.

Chapter 22 is undoubtedly The Mandalorian's most star-studded episode yet, not to mention the goofiest and while it lacked the thrill the previous episodes had, it was definitely a nice break to have as we move forward to more serious matters with Season 3 being down to its last two episodes.

The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 3 is now streaming on Disney+.
