We're still a few years away from the full-blown arrival of the mutants to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while it may look like Kevin Feige isn't in a hurry to incorporate the X-Men into the billion-dollar franchise, a lot of potential candidates — from A-list stars to lesser-known actors have seemingly been hinting that they want in on the much-awaited reboot.

Now, an up-and-coming star is already making it clear that she wants to become part of MCU history. Speaking with Variety, Chloe Bailey, sister of The Little Mermaid actress Halle Bailey expressed her desire to play Ororo Munroe in the forthcoming reboot. She explains: "I've always wanted to be a superhero, and she's my favorite one, so you can fill in the blanks. She is just so fierce and sexy and strong — all of the things I want to be — and she's beautiful at the same time. And she doesn't take any sh-t."

Interestingly, Halle is also apparently eyeing the mutant role. In the same report, the outlet noted that the 22-year-old rising star said during her D23 Expo 2022 interview that she would love to play Storm. Should that happen, she'd be the second actress named "Halle" to play the weather-controlling hero.

So far, the only confirmed mutants who are joining the MCU are Deadpool and Wolverine (if you count Hugh Jackman's surprising entry to Deadpool 3). As it stands, it doesn't look like Marvel Studios will be unveiling the reboot's cast anytime soon and with the studio still trying to piece the Multiverse Saga together, we're probably looking at a 2027 debut for the X-Men at the earliest.

Key details about Marvel Studios' X-Men reboot are still being kept under wraps.
