The Last of Us Fans Are Dreading To Watch Episode 5 Despite Early Release

The Last of Us fans continue to hype and shower the HBO series with praises, mainly because of how game-accurate and close to the Naughty Dog material the episodes are so far! As promised by showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, with just a few tweaks here and there, the series simply brings the video game to life on TV. However, it is exactly that why the fans are dreading to watch The Last of Us Episode 5, despite its early release this week.

The Last of Us is still a running series with an episodic release per week, specifically on Sunday. However, given that the Super Bowl LVII would clash with the show’s release date, The Last of Us Episode 5 is now set to premiere on February 10, Friday, at 9 PM EST on HBO Max.

Now, why are The Last of Us fans dreading Episode 5? Video game fans are well aware of what happens between Joel and Ellie meeting Henry and Sam.

To recap, The Last of Us Episode 4 ends with Joel and Ellie practically getting jumped by Henry and Sam during their sleep. The next episode, should Druckmann and Mazin be keeping their word on sticking close to the original material, will feature Henry and Sam banding together with Joel and Ellie.

The thing with Henry and Sam is, at one point, they technically left Joel and Ellie for their own skin. Though this left Joel and Ellie betrayed, the four ended up finding each other again, but with a most tragic fate that fans are hoping to avoid. We will also likely see a new form of the Infected: the Bloater, which is much bigger, much more powerful, and definitely less vulnerable to bullets than Clickers.
