KBS2’s The King’s Affection is still on top among the Kdramas airing on a Monday and Tuesday evening time slot.
The ongoing series received a nationwide viewership rating of 8.8% for episode 12. This was an impressive increase from the previous episode rating of 7.1%. The King's Affection Episode 12 also marks its new personal best.

The King’s Affection Episode 12 Recap
The King’s Affection Episode 12 sees the King’s decision to dethrone the Crown Prince. Because of this, Hwi was ordered to be sent out of the palace.
Ji Un came rushing to the palace in secret after he heard the news. When he finds the Crown Prince at their secret hideout, Ji Un promises to protect Hwi no matter what happens.
On the other hand, the King seems to have ordered his most trusted guard to ensure Hwi’s safety. The King wishes for his only daughter to live her own life now that Gyeom is the Crown Prince.
Hwi receives a dress from the King and a letter that warmed her heart. She has been longing for a parent’s love, and it was not the way she thought it would be.
Meanwhile, Hwi’s grandfather has sent soldiers to take her back to the palace. All this time, Ji Un was following the procession, and he had known about the plan. Ji Un saves Hwi and the King’s guard from his own father’s bow.
The King’s Affection Episode 12 also highlights Hwi getting shot by an arrow while on a run. When Ji Un has to cure her injured arm, Hwi had no choice but to reveal her secret.
