The Killer’s Shopping List episode 3 records another murder case in the neighborhood in Seoul.
The Killer’s Shopping List is a comedy thriller series based on the novel of the same name by Kang Ji Young. It tells the story of a murder case on the outskirts of Seoul. A supermarket receipt becomes the evidence as the cast members start a hilarious hunt for the suspect.
Lee Kwang Soo plays Ahn Dae Sung’s role, a part-time worker at MS Mart who has an excellent memory. His girlfriend, Seolhyun’s Do Ah Hee, works as a police officer. The two characters then join forces to solve the mysterious murder case.
After the first murder case, The Killer’s Shopping List episode 3 presents a second similar incident – and maybe a third one, too.
The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 2 Recap
The previous episode unveils the mysterious murder case in the outskirts of Seoul near the MS Mart. Ahn Dae Sung and Nun-Chucks grandpa found the lifeless woman near the apartment building.
Ahn Dae Sung, instead of letting the police solve the case, launches his own probe by visiting the church garden where Seo Yool found the other pair of the victim’s slippers.
The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 2 also shows how he and his girlfriend, Do Ah Hee, eventually discovers that the grandpa is the counterfeiter he met years ago and changed his life.

The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 3
The series episode 3 continues the previous one’s exciting but thrilling discovery that grandpa nun-chucks is Oh Cheon Won. He is the man who attempted to pay counterfeit money to MS Mart (then-Daesung Mart) years ago and caused trauma to Ahn Dae Sung.
While trying to question him, the old man suddenly grabs Do Ah Hee’s neck and points a knife at her. When he tries to save his girlfriend, he grabs Samyu Peaches from the man’s grocery bag and remembers the incident years ago.
The flashback highlights Oh Cheon Won trying to strangle his mother, Han Myung Sook, when he came back years after his arrest. At that time, he also grabbed a can of Samyu Peaches and threw it at the counterfeiter, causing his head to bleed heavily.
With that sudden memory, he starts to tremble while being unable to throw the can at him. At one point, Do Ah Hee gets tired of Oh Cheon Won and shows him her skills as a police officer.
Ahn Dae Sung spots a scar on the old man’s head, asking him where he got it. Oh Cheon Won responded and called him Fatty – the nickname only Do A Hee can use. He then finds out that he is indeed the infamous counterfeiter.
It raises questions about why he is still alive when Ahn Dae Sung reportedly killed him years ago. He asks her how she knew about it, making her confess that she saw him do the crime years ago.
Setting the past aside, he accuses the old man of killing Kwon Bo Yeon – the elementary teacher. But Oh Cheon Won seems to be clueless about what he is saying since the old man was also at the crime scene when they found the dead woman together.
Meanwhile, Ahn Dae Sung’s mother, who accompanies a man from Geumsang Realty, Seo Cheon Kyu, found a dead woman inside the unit. It turns out that the new victim is Lee Kyung A, the woman who barged into MS Mart and complained about the deliveries she did not make.
Ahn Dae Sung and Do Ah Hee rush to the new crime scene, where Han Myung Sook finds Lee Kyung A’s body. After everyone confirms the nun-chucks grandpa’s identity, Han Myung Sook starts to defend Ahn Dae Sung and tells Kim Doo Hyun she repeatedly said years ago that his son is not a murderer.
It is then revealed that Oh Cheon Won is why Ahn Dae Sung keeps failing his civil service examination as he could not focus on it despite his excellent memory skills. Her son reportedly began feeling anxious ever since his body disappeared in the trash bin.
Before leaving the scene, Ahn Dae Sung spots MS Mart’s new employee, Saeng Sun, wandering in the area. This makes him feel suspicious of him instead.
As they believe they have already caught the culprit, Ahn Dae Sung and Do Ah Hee spend time together and enjoy a rooftop date.
The Killer’s Shopping List episode 3 also discloses that nun-chucks grandpa is the one who hangs MS Mart bags and items on the units’ door handles to get revenge on Ahn Dae Sung’s family. That way, he believes that they would lose everything if female customers would no longer buy goods at the MS Mart.

However, Oh Cheon Woo insists that he only puts choco pies inside the bags. As for the tampons which Lee Kyung A also received, he reportedly has no idea who added them.
New rumors start to spread in the area about Ahn Dae Sung. Women begin to think that he was the one who hanged the bags, and talks that he murdered someone in the past also emerge.
Nun-chucks grandpa gets cleared from the murder case, and the investigator now shifts his attention to Ahn Dae Sung.
Meanwhile, the lead character also gets a growing suspicion of MS Mart’s employee, Saeng Sun. He starts investigating him and finds weird items inside his locker.
As he and Do Ah Hee try to catch him, they discover that Saeng Sun only has items that belong to females since he dresses up like one after work. They decide to follow him to know the truth about his identity and potential connection to the two murders.
At the end of the episode, MS Mart staff Yachae looks troubled as someone seemingly follows her on her way home. She runs and screams as she tries to save herself from the stalker.
