Based on Kang Ji Young’s novel of the same name, The Killer’s Shopping List tells the story of a murder case on the outskirts of Seoul. A supermarket receipt becomes the evidence as the cast members start a hilarious hunt for the suspect.
Lee Kwang Soo plays Ahn Dae Sung’s role, a part-time worker at MS Mart who has an excellent memory. His girlfriend, Seolhyun’s Do Ah Hee, works as a police officer. The two characters then join forces to solve the mysterious murder case.

The K-drama’s episode 1 reveals how Dae Sung Mart eventually become MS Mart due to the redevelopment in the area.
Ahn Dae Sung’s memory skills get tested when a counterfeiter tries buying a choco pie at his mother’s mart. He starts to hate choco pie after the incident due to the suspect’s warning about his return.
When he fails to pass the civil service exam, he goes home and asks his mother to hire him. His first task involves secretly delivering flyers to apartment buildings.Ahn Dae Sung then bumps into a woman who complains about MS Mart’s wrong deliveries.

However, he explains that the mart does not deliver items below $30, and the items inside the bag are only worth around $10 in total. The woman, looking surprised by Ahn Dae Sung’s comment, insists that she does not order the choco pies and a box of tampon.
When he hears about MS Mart’s low sales, Ahn Dae Sung proposes to bring back their regulars by doing the deliveries himself so he can talk with the customers. Instead of good news, he finds himself in a terrifying situation when he finds a lifeless woman in the area.
The Killer’s Shopping List Episode 2 Preview
The Killer’s Shopping List episode 2 will show Ahn Dae Sung becoming obsessed with the case despite his mother’s warning not to get involved in it in any way. The matriarch notes that, just when she thought his son would rise again after failing his civil service exam, he recklessly harms himself by investigating the murder case on his own.
The clips highlight Ahn Dae Sung questioning people about several items, asking them where they found them due to their connection to the murder case.
He assumes that the murderer might be one of their customers, and he alleges that the suspect strangled the woman using stockings. His girlfriend, Do Ah Hee, warns him that he can be suspected because of his actions.
The episode 2 preview then shows the text “I’m be back” again – the message he received and corrected to “I’ll be back” years ago. At the end of the clip, it shows a can of peaches similar to what he threw at the aisle of choco pies in episode 1.
Ahn Dae Sung mentions “five dollars” due to his strange feeling that the counterfeiter – who tried paying a counterfeit $5 years ago -- might be involved in the murder case.
