Yesterday, we got a new set video of Joaquin Phoenix dressed as the Joker jumping into a train, but now it looks like we may have gotten the end of that scene with Joker walking past a bunch of worried cops.
Check it out:
From what I can piece together from the leaked scenes, the police will follow the Joker into a train only to find that the train is filled with people wearing clown masks (the Joker among them). By the time the riot starts, Joker will walk out of the train, take of his mask, and walk off the station unnoticed by the cops who are coming in to stop the riot.
At one point I even thought he tripped one of the cops during the multiple takes.
So far, we've been getting only a fraction of this movie, but a lot of people are already getting excited/ Not only does this performance seem to harken that of Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight, but this seemingly dark and realistic take feels a lot like a more realistic adaptation of Alan Moore's The Killing Joke. No offense to Mark Hamill, but the animated movie just didn't land right with a lot of viewers.
With the movie coming out in October, there's still very little that we've seen of Joker. I'm just crossing my fingers that this scene is just one heist and nothing too relevant to the story. I would have hated to be spoiled with all these leaks coming out online.
Catch Joker in theaters Oct. 4, 2019.
