The IT Crowd's Chris O'Dowd Forgot He Was in an MCU Movie

Thor: The Dark World has been constantly bashed for being the most forgettable MCU film ever made, and as it turns out, even some of the actors involved forgot they were even in it. In a recent interview, you can watch Chris O'Dowd remember out of the blue that he had once worked for Marvel Studios.

Check it out here:

You can watch O'Dowd get confused as to why the interviewer started talking about Marvel films, then he goes on to poorly guess which movie he was in.

In Thor: The Dark World, O'Dowd played a character named Richard who was supposed to be Jane Foster's new love interest after Thor supposedly couldn't come back to Earth anymore. Seeing that Jane clearly had her thing with Thor at the time, Richard ended up becoming some forgettable third wheel in a poorly constructed love triangle.

Hopefully, the Marvel films do forget O'Dowd and place him in a more memorable role in the future. The MCU is no stranger to an actor playing different roles. Laura Haddock, who plays Quill's mom in Guardians of the Galaxy, also played a random woman in Captain America: The First Avenger. Maybe they can even revisit the Richard character and give him something more interesting to do. I think the franchise is ready to give us Jane Foster's Thor—that is if Natalie Portman is onboard.

O'Dowd may be forgotten, but Thor is still pretty much involved. Catch him in Avengers: Endgame which hits theaters April 26.
