Out of all the MCU films that were released since its inception in 2008, The Incredible Hulk is arguably the most forgotten entry since some people feel like it is not part of the franchise even though it is actually in the canon. It also doesn't help that Mark Ruffalo didn't play Bruce Banner in that film.

However, since then, we have seen the MCU starting to embrace the movie's existence as some of the actors and characters have eventually returned in later projects and the events have also been referenced in easter eggs.

Now, as 15 years have gone by since the film was released, a significant development is happening behind the scenes that will make it more included in the MCU than ever before.

Disney+ has announced that The Incredible Hulk is finally coming to the streamer today and it is now at the same home as every other MCU film and TV show that has always been part of the platform.

In case you're wondering why it took so long for the film to arrive on Disney+, Universal Pictures had the distribution rights for the film and, as the 15-year span of the rights has expired, it is being reverted now to Marvel Studios.

Recently, the Tobey Maguire-led Spider-Man films and The Amazing Spider-Man were added to Disney+ alongside Spider-Man: Homecoming (which is part of the MCU) and Venom.

This is great news for fans of the film and the MCU since it is now part of a streaming service that is considered as the home of the Marvel properties on screen. Hopefully, it would also lead to the film getting more credit than what fans and the general audience are giving.

It also comes as Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson are also set to reprise their respective roles of Betty Ross and Samuel Sterns soon in Captain America: Brave New World. Harrison Ford will also replace the late William Hurt in the role of Thaddeus Ross.

Tim Roth also returned last year to reprise the role of Emil Blonsky in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. However, as we all know, Edward Norton did not continue playing the role of Bruce Banner as Ruffalo took over in subsequent projects.
