The Glory actress Cha Joo Young shared more details about her character in the Netflix Kdrama series.
Song Hye Kyo’s newest Kdrama series instantly became a hit after the streaming giant added it to its catalog. Although it is yet to release its part 2, fans and viewers have been showing excitement because of its hair-raising plot.
In the drama, Cha Joo Young plays the role of Choi Hye Jeong. She is a flight stewardess who was part of the group that bullied Song Hye Kyo’s, Moon Dong Eun. However, she also had the lowest authority among the perpetrators.

How Cha Joo Young Got the Role
The Spies Who Loved Me actress recently appeared in an interview with Allure Korea and shared how she got the role and how she pushed herself to portray her character perfectly.
She surprised everyone by saying she went through several auditions before finally being able to get the role.
“I went through so many auditions. I think I met with the director twice a week for nearly two months. I almost bled dry because the director seemed like he would cast me but sometimes was unsure,” she said.
Cha Joo Young recalled the time her casting was finally confirmed. With anger and frustration, she appeared in a meeting with the director and freely opened up about how tired she had been.

At the end of the day, the director cast her.
Her struggles did not end there, as the director was initially not satisfied with her acting. Although they reportedly sounded harsh, she made the comments her inspiration to prepare diligently for the role.
Part of her preparation was gaining weight. To do the role, she reportedly gained five to six kg. The actress made more preparations as she wanted to look neat and beautiful since her character is a stewardess.
Cha Joo Young Reflects on Racy Scene
In the final episode of The Glory part 1, Kim Hieora pulled her by the hair and caused her to fall. At that time, her chest was exposed. Viewers, on the other hand, shower her with praises for having a “great body.”
According to Cha Joo Young, she was supposed to wear a less revealing Chanel dress. However, director Ahn Gil Ho wanted her to wear the original dress she wore.
When asked how she maintains her physique, the actress said she does not stress herself with working out and dieting.
