It's safe to say that Ben Affleck's working relationship with Warner Bros. and DC Films hasn't been that solid but it can't be denied that many fans consider him as the definitive live-action version of Batman. This is why despite his controversial 2019 exit, Affleck has signed a new deal to make an appearance as the caped crusader in Zack Snyder's Justice League and the upcoming standalone The Flash film starring Ezra Miller.

We still don't know the extent of Affleck's current DC Extended Universe deal but rumor has it that he'll be making his final appearance as Bruce Wayne in the project which will serve as a WB's reset button on the DCEU. Initially, reports claimed that the actor will only be showing up as the billionaire in the film and not suit up as the Dark Knight but the set photos and videos that have surfaced online pretty much debunked earlier rumors surrounding his involvement.

Apparently, Affleck will once again be donning Batman's iconic cape and cowl. Not only that, but he seems to be sporting a new costume and a sweet-looking Batcycle which is somewhat reminiscent of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy.

Ben's official departure from the franchise will be a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people but it's worth noting that the actor himself has yet to confirm if he's in fact leaving the DCEU for good after The Flash. Honestly, I'm hopeful that he sticks around for several more projects because he brought some edge back to the character. I guess only time will tell.

The Flash is slated for release in November 2022.
