Despite several calls from the DC Extended Universe fandom to cancel The Flash's release in cinemas next year, Warner Bros. has made it perfectly clear that they're committed to bringing Barry Allen's first solo outing to the big screen amidst all of the allegations actor Ezra Miller is currently facing.

Originally, The Flash was supposed to compete with another comic book film courtesy of Sony Pictures but according to a new listing, that's no longer the case. A tweet from Exhibitor Relations Co. claims that Sony's untitled film which would've gone head-to-head with the DCEU flick has been removed from the studio's release slate for June 2023.

Details regarding the mystery film and its new release date have not been disclosed as of writing but it's safe to assume that it's another spinoff title revolving around one of Spidey's notorious villains.

While this may seem like good news on WB and DC Films' part, it's still worth mentioning that the film's lead star Ezra Miller is currently being plagued by his personal controversies which have been making headlines over the last couple of months. One would assume that there's no way for them to subside anytime soon so the film is still in dire jeopardy.

Now, with the troubled actor's public perception getting tainted as of late, more and more fans are determined to skip The Flash and boycott the project altogether. It's a messy situation for sure and things aren't looking good for the DCEU film.

The Flash is currently scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
