The Flash First Reactions Are In: "One of the Very Best DC Movies," "Believe the Hype"

This summer, after years of waiting, The Flash will finally arrive in theaters. A lot of fans have been looking forward to the film not only because it will mark Ezra Miller's first (and perhaps only) solo movie as the titular hero, but it will also feature Michael Keaton's long-awaited return as Batman.

Just like any film that gets released, a lot of fans are wondering whether the upcoming movie will deliver the hype or it'll end up being a disappointment. Fortunately, we now have our first reactions from the film as it had a world premiere yesterday at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas.

Critics, journalists, and pundits who attended the special premiere screening of the film were allowed to share their first reactions on social media. So far, the responses have been mostly positive with some even declaring it already as one of the best DC movies of all time.

Most of the praise was given to the film's story, humor, the performances of Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, and Sasha Calle, its easter eggs and references to the DC cinematic history, action sequences, and emotional moments.

The responses here sound very promising as it looks like the film does deliver the hype and supports the positive buzz that has been generating for months as insiders claimed that people inside the studio have been excited about the outcome of the movie.

DC Studios co-chairman James Gunn even praised it as "one of the best superhero films" he has ever seen. During Warner Bros.'s presentation at CinemaCon yesterday, CEO David Zaslav even went as far as saying that it is the "best superhero movie" he has ever seen.

While we're still months away from the film's release in theaters, this is already a good start in generating word-of-mouth amongst the general public. However, this is still all subjective and you might have a different response to the film once you see it yourself.

With the underwhelming box office performances of Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, DC surely does need a big win in The Flash and the early responses suggest that it is likely that they will be able to finally attain it again.
